Our Bespoke Furniture Service
Bespoke Furniture Commission Process
Every bespoke commission is different and the journey through the process varies between project and customer. We appreciate this and every customer’s experience will be tailored to their project. However, below is an outline of the project timeline expected when working with Beamsmoor Furniture Company on a bespoke commission for your home, to help you understand what to expect when working with us.
-
Contact Beamsmoor Furniture Company either through the Website contact form, or via the contact email at the bottom of this page.
We will be in touch to set up an initial enquiry meeting to discuss the project in more detail, what you desire from the commission and discuss any particulars you require.
-
Once the initial enquiry meeting is complete, we will provide a Project Proposal Document. This document will outline the basis of the project in the design specification, such as material, size and the payment structure of our products.
You will review this document, and once happy the concept design phase will begin. -
Using the project proposal as reference, up to 3 concepts will be created and presented to you.
After the 3 concepts have been presented, and before the final detailed design is created, a deposit of 50% must be paid.
From the 3 concepts, we can distill the features you desire and any required changes into the final detailed design. -
Once the final design is agreed, the material will be ordered and manufacture can begin, milling the raw timber to size for the joinery to be added.
-
During the manufacturing process, to ensure clients are not kept in the dark, a project update will be sent out to you. This will outline progress so far and what the next steps are.
-
Upon completion of all of the joinery and a dry fit is complete, ensuring all of the joinery is finished, an interim payment will be due, outlined in the project proposal. Once the interim payment is made, the final glue up will be completed and finish applied.
-
On completion of the project, a delivery date will be scheduled with you. 48 hours before delivery, the final outstanding balance of the project will be made.
Once the funds have been received, the product will be dispatched to you and you can begin enjoying your new furniture.
